The Magic Hands

Seeing Laura Mackness ' hand drawn print design signature onto cut and sew t-shirts and leggings, makes me believe there are magic hands outside.
Come and see the more extreme version of her.
Admire the humorous, minimal with unexpected details, always complimented by accessories and often bordering on bad taste of her.
Love her for its elegance, sophistication, the unexpectedness graphic simplicity design.

Born in Leicestershire in the countryside-a thousand miles away from the fashion world, no tales of
dressing up in her mum’s extensive wardrobe, Mackness is good in making simple creations with incredible effects. She has the excellence in breaking the pop-out colors mixing to create some tough and bold works.
Interested in and inspired
by tromp
e l’oeil and a lot
of her research for her MA collection came from surreal images from 70’s editions of ZOOM magazine, She
is brilliant to combine print and
3D texture that creates a fantastic effect that tricks the eyes of beholder.
I think her mom is both annoyed and proud for her always being very particular about her own. It is the point.
